First of all, welcome back Kevin K. It was a nice surprise to see you again, and I hope that you can get back to regularly attending in the future.

This was a pretty interesting game of Amun-Re. There was a lot of stealing from the sacrifice going on, and that contributed to a cash poor game. We didn't once reach level 3 on the harvest for example. In the end, however, the game came down to most money between me and Kevin K. He had 39 points and I had 38 before we counted the gold. I ended up with the most money and the win on the strength of eight farmers in Mendes (normally one of my least favorite provinces) and a harvest increase power card.

It seems like, as a group, we're starting to get the hang of this game and each game seems better played than the last.

This was my second game of Torres and I like it a lot. We made a slight mistake of just drawing one power card instead of drawing three and keeping one, but I don't think that has all that big of an effect. In this game I made a concerted effort to get my knights into all of the big castles early on and it paid off as the game went along. I was able to place knights high up in all of the relevant castles and the final scoring swung in my favor because of that.
