Wichita Gamers, An Introduction

Wichita Gamers is devoted to supporting the roleplaying and table-top gamers of Wichita, Kansas and the surrounding area.

My name is Carl Cravens, and years ago, my wife and I published a short-lived newsletter named The Wichita Gamer, which attempted to fill, though in a much more limited fashion, the same needs as this website does. It was well received, distributed for free at local game shops, but only lasted three issues due to lack of funding and some some game stores refusing to display the newsletter where it could be seen. (We had hoped for more cooperation from the game shops. Fostering the gaming community will do nothing but benefit the retail business as the community grows and plays games more often.)

We started the newsletter, and now this website, in an attempt to foster communication in the local roleplaying community. What you see now is only the start of what we expect to grow into a useful community resource.

This website you're reading is managed in a tool called a Wiki... it's a collaborative environment, and anyone can sign up for a free account to add and edit pages. It's your community... it's your website. Use it to promote your games, to share something about yourself, to find other players and discover new games.
