Scenario Description

You are part of a crew contracted by a Mafia family to take down a rival mobster without the Commission (council of bosses) getting wind of it. Sort of the wiseguy version of "plausible denial". Pay day? It's a cool quarter-million, some magic artifacts that "fell off a truck", and maybe a few bucks "found" on your target. Danger? Fergeduhboutit! If it was easy they wouldn't have hired you.

Characters

The crew consists of a top Chicago torpedo (hitman), a vampire Showgirl who is also a part time assassin, a master cat burglar, an ace smuggler, and a "hitmage" who takes out targets with the dangerous force of magic.

Robert "Tank" Sherman -- professional smuggler, leader of "The Wrecking Crew"

Although his huge size seems more fitting for a pro-wrestler than a doctor, he actually practiced medicine for a few years in Florida. Then he got three years in the slam for writing over fourteen hundred oxycoton prescriptions for the mob in Tampa. Like a lot of doctors with money to burn, he had taken flying lessons. Once out, his career ruined, he bought a WW2-era PBY amphibious flying boat, and became a smuggler. He smuggled nearly anything; gold kugerands from South Africa during the embargo, cigars from Cuba, and guns to Nicaragua for the CIA. Everthing but drugs... his time in prison cured him of that. In between smuggling, he and "The Wrecking Crew" do little favors for the Mob, the CIA, and other unsavory oganizations.

Timmy "Axe-man" Saldoni -- professional hitman

Timmy got his nickname not from his chosen weapon, but from having played guitar in a rock band in college before dropping out to join the Chicago Outfit. For seven years he was Chicago's top torpedo. He was "chased" (wiseguy talk for exiled) from the mob for refusing to kill a twelve year old girl who witnessed a murder by another "soldier." He only avoided being rubbed out himself due to some sympathy by a capo who had a daughter the same age. He now does whatever wetwork "Tank" thinks needs done.

Salvatore "the Mouse" Caprone -- professional cat burglar

Salvatore is a third-generation thief. His grandfather stole paintings in Europe, and his father stole jewelry from rich Bostonians and sold it in his jewelry store in New York. He was suppossed to go "legit" once he got a degree in archaeology. Instead, he took artifacts from archaelogical digs all over the world and sold them to unscrupulous collectors. He hooked up with the Crew when they smuggled him and his loot out of Egypt with a police swat team trying their best to take him out.

Calotta "Trixie" Samwell -- femme fatale

Carlotta was a Vegas showgirl who became the gumata (mob girlfriend) of a wiseguy out of New York. On a hot July night she and her lover were killed by a hitman. Five nights later, under a full moon she ressurected as a vampire. (Her boyfriend was ripped into too many pieces to be turned). She spent a year controlled by her attacker/master until he was taken out by Axe-man & Tank. Freed, but still undead, she offered an incredibly hot body and superhuman abilities to the Crew.

*Samuel "Hitmage" Hecatekles*--hitman and mage

Sam doesn't know it but he is a descendant of the ancient Graeco-Roman goddess of magic, Hecate. He grew up in a tough neighborhood getting beat up by every thug in sight until his fifteenth birthday. That day he found a locked trunk in his uncle's attic. In it were books of dark, arcane knowledge. The next day he drew a wierd little circle under a tormentor's Cadillac. The car caught fire and burned the thug to death in less than a minute. By eighteen, he was the most feared person in his neighborhood. But just as old west gunfighters used to see who was the best by shooting it out, sorcerers started seeking him out. And most were better. For Sam, his salvation came when he hired Mouse to steal an ancient grimore. His powers impressed the Crew and he took his place as the youngest and last member of the Crew.
